This talk given at WordCamp Glasgow 2020, and it’s my third time presenting my guide for Developers to work with Marketing Teams in a productive way. Revisited for 2020, this talk does feature a bit more focus on some strategies to analyse some KPI’s as well as some real word examples of what to do at certain points. This is based on feedback from when I did my talks at WordCamp Dublin & Brighton.
As somebody who has been both a developer and marketing team leader in their career, I have been able to observe when projects go wrong between developers and an external or internal marketing team.
In this talk, I will share a few areas where relationships can break down, how to avoid problems before they arise, and also tips to get marketing teams on your side so you can both serve a happy client.
