Recommended WordPress Hosts
Every now and again, I get asked about who I’d host my WordPress website with. Below are a number of companies I recommend for WordPress, at various price points. These are firms I either host my own website with, or have used in the past and quite like. I should add your host not being on here doesn’t mean I hate it! There are millions of hosts out there and I cannot test them all. However if you have a current host, and want my opinion on it, then please contact me and I’ll share it!
34SP
- I currently host my websites with them.
- I have clients with them.
- UK Based.
- Mid range pricing.
- Been with them for 10+ years.
34SP is my go to host. I’ve been with them for over 10 years and have worked with them both in terms of the company and in community work. UK based with datacenters located within the UK. Overall very reliable and easy to reach, but you find you need to increase the resources on the server quite a lot if you are hosting things like WooCommerce. They are very good however on if you are expecting a traffic spike.
Krystal
- I have clients hosted with them.
- UK Based.
- Mid range pricing.
Krystal are a host that I’ve used for a few clients and have with them, and whilst I don’t use them for my stuff, I do like them. Their sites seem to be stable, particularly their brochure websites. I’ve not used them for WooCommerce builds yet.
Kinsta
- I have clients hosted with them.
- EU Based.
- High range pricing.
- Excellent Support.
- Support the community a lot.
Kinsta are a host I like a lot, they support the community and I’ve a couple of clients associated with them at this time, and they seem on the whole pretty good. High end hosting but I’ve never had a problem with them and their support is absolutely excellent.
WP Engine
- I used to have had clients hosted with them.
- High level pricing.
- One click staging environments.
- Pretty good support.
A number of my clients have used WP Engine in the past and receiving news that a client is on WP Engine I’m usually pretty happy. Is more expensive an option but sites are very quick.
