In a little while, I’m off to WordCamp Europe 2023 in Athens, Greece.
I’m incredibly excited to head to my first WordCamp since WordCamp Glasgow 2020 (I spoke at that conference, you can view the slides here) and reconnecting with the WordPress community that I have not seen in person since before the pandemic. I’ve been operating in my little WordPress bubble due to the pandemic, so although in past WordCamps I ended up in the hallway track for the large amount of the time, this time I’m looking forward to going to a fair few talks and actually getting some face to face time, networking, and generally finding out what the community has been up to in the last 4 years.
Who I am looking to meet
Although I am especially looking forward to reconnecting with anybody who I knew and spent time with at WordCamps before, I’m especially looking to connecting with any agency that could use a developer for some overflow of work as I’ve a bit of time I’m looking to fill towards the end of the year. I’m also keen to speak with freelancers on management, growth, winning work and also people looking to diversify what they do.
